A bunch of us convened after 30 years,
And no not over coffee or a couple of beers,
But in the now trending virtual world,
That’s where our connections unfurled,

Last we met was when we were in school,
Chatty, edgy and pumping with fuel,

Of course there were some who were always good,
An emblem of righteousness for which they stood,
I believe they still possess that quality,
And with aplomb go about their activity,

Now our meetings lack that fuel,
Perhaps we are all tied up in life’s duel,
Or perhaps the decades gone by,
Have evaporated the spirit and turned our association dry,

Or perhaps the bunch was not the best of things,
Perhaps we should have redistricted it only close beings
