The country is slowly opening up,
Shops, offices start to open up,
The roads no longer look so barren,
Cars, bikes ply, even children,
Yes, the lockdown is easing,
People are going out which is pleasing,
Some want a haircut,
Some want to eat out,
Some just want to be out,
Soak in the buildings and hangout,
But I sense a restrain,
It’s as if they are still in chain,
Yes, they are out,
But in their minds I see doubt,
Is it really okay?
Can the children really mingle and play?
Can we have people over,
Reach out, perhaps stay over?
Are we really opening up?
Or are our minds under some lockup?
